Michael Monari (MSc, MBA) is the Team leader and Founder/CEO of Longitude Finance. He is an experienced Chief Executive Officer, highly skilled in Business Development, Negotiations, Budgeting, Strategy & Business Planning, Banking, and Credit Analysis.
He has over 25 years commercial banking experience at Executive Management and Board Level. Michael has a passion for supporting SME’s across the African continent; the largest being job creation platform to alleviate poverty and ensure provision of livelihoods at the BoP in every sector i.e. Distribution, Waste Management, Agriculture, among others.
He is a strong entrepreneurship professional with an Msc-Global Management (Salford, UK); Management Dip in Social Finance(University of Oxford, UK) and Executive Programme on Business Management (Strathmore Business School). An accomplished and passionate expert in MFI, Fintech and Social Finance with acumen and an Alumni of the Said Business School- University of Oxford-SF Programme.
He has worked in several African countries some being Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and lately Uganda as MD/CEO of Ecobank. Across these countries he turned round the banks he was a part of resulting in exponential growth whilst creating wealth and new jobs and is also highly networked in Kenya and across Africa.
He is the President-Elect and Projects Director-Rotary Club of Lavington Jioni.
